About Chris

Originally born in Esperance, but having lived in the Goldfields/Esperance region her whole life, Chris is the true definition of a Goldfields girl! Chris moved to Kalgoorlie in 1993, and started working for JMS in 1997 under the original owner, John Matthew, which pre-dates even Allan, Mark & Peter! With a passion for Real Estate in our great region, Chris has over 20 years experience including residential sales, commercial sales and leasing, and agency management and trust accounting. Chris returned to John Matthew & Sons as a Partner in 2018 after a quick stint at City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, managing their large commercial and community portfolio of properties including the Endowment Block and Airport tenancies, further developing her experience in the area. In July 2019 Chris became the Managing Director and Licensee after the retirement of Allan Pendal and now oversees the business along with the help of Daniel Lavery. Like most people at JMS, Chris enjoys the occasional punt and can be found at the KBRC most Sundays over winter months! She is married to Glenn, and has 2 daughters Kobie and Shelby, plus a gorgeous granddaughter Poppy!

John Matthew & Sons commenced business in 1983 and is today one of Western Australia's largest regional real estate agencies. Chris Hoycard, Daniel Lavery, Rebecca Bateman and Allan Pendal are the partners of the well established business. John Matthew & Sons employs a staff of 22. This comprises a residential sales team of 5 which includes partner Chris Hoycard, a property management department of 10 including partner Rebecca Bateman, a commercial sales and leasing team of 5 which includes partner Daniel Lavery. The remaining staff are employed in vital administrative and support roles. As an independent agent for 40 plus years and a move to modern, purpose built premises in Kalgoorlie-Boulder in 2003, John Matthew & Sons continues to remain committed to serving the people of the Goldfields for many years to come.

Above and Beyond.

Iris is the most friendly, approachable and professional agent we have used. On viewings she is attentive but also gives you space to look around without being invasive or pushy. We have bought and sold with Iris and either way Iris goes above and beyond. We will co tongue to support Iris for any of our real estate needs. We are kept fully up to date, get the best results and responds quickly. Iris will follow up immediately with any queries and ensure settlement stays on track and sends a tracker with updates on the status of the sale/purchase. We received a check in call a few days after moving just to see how we settled in along with a beautiful gift waiting for us when we collected our keys.
